a new kind of something…
As everyone (the random few who visit this blog) may have noticed… I recently took a leave of absence. A sort of break, as it were. Well actually it’s been more like a working vacation. I’ve recently started a new stage in my life. I’ve moved out on my own. That was the main reason for my absence. The other most recent part was a friend’s wedding! I was the photographer. So look forward to a few of those shots. There’s a few really good ones. Anyway, at some point I’m sure I’ll rant about my new little place. It should be interesting to see what I end up writing. Anywho, here’s a shot of a cute little place I was introduced to about a month ago. The bar seats at the lovely Coco Miel…

sporadic weddings…
As the title of this post suggests, there will continually be more of these “wedding” posts… sporadically; coming up from time to time. The theme of such posts will be “Weddings.” Every so often I will go to a wedding, will be an unofficial photographer and have no idea what to do with some of the “OK” shots. These shots will be posted on this blog as normal posts under the name of the couple. For reasons such as early Alzheimer’s, sleep deprivation, and/or my addiction to coffee (the last two contributing to the first), I have decided to post the first shots of my Wedding Photography in this post because I honestly forget the name of the girl in the first few shots, so I can’t very well name a post after her… or her significant other for that matter, because I never got to meet him. After her are the two good pictures of Isaac and Lynette’s wedding I got. And so, the introduction to BrokenLensCap’s Wedding Shots…!

city of the bridges…
As I rode into Pittsburgh this was the first bridge I saw and knew it would make a great shot to use to narrate my vacation to the

If anyone hasn’t already noticed, I’ve been MIA for a few weeks. I took a lovely two week vacation, during which I was a total “tourist.” I took pictures, visited a coffee shop or two, visited a few local restaurants, walked through a breathtaking trail through the woods, and made some new friends. A few of them let me use them as models. Check it out…

a day with the roses…
A day left in El Paso TX before I go on vacation to Pittsburgh PA and I find myself in this quaint little rose garden that I didn’t even know existed in El Paso. It’s quite the dandy experience… Especially now that it’s spring. A few shots from the lovely walk I took in the Rose Garden…

when my cynicism fails to protect me…
A good friend of mine showed me this telephone post where her parents’ initials had been carved years ago when they were dating. They were high school sweethearts; now, years later, they’re still very much in love. It’s a nice thing to witness. . . Not even a cynical photographer can deny it.
